IMS is reputed for its ability to process large number of transactions within limited duration of time. The throughput for one of its major customer has reached 35 million transactions per day. The service has been qualified to handle an anticipated 100 million transactions during the coming months.
The process flow includes collecting payment instructions from various source systems via files and queues, categorize, validate, identify receiving banks format/protocol, package and deliver. Responses (acknowledgements, Confirms, Status and Statements) are gathered, reconciled and updated to respective source systems. Web-based Dashboards/Interface extended to various user groups and operations team for data visibility, internal controls, exception handling and reporting.
